- What is AILET?
AILET is national level All India Law Entrance Test examination conducted by the National Law University Delhi every year for admission to UG,PG and Ph.D. Programmes offered by the National Law University Delhi.
- Where I can get admission after clearing the AILET 2025?

- What is the maximum and minimum age limit for appearing in the AILET 2025?
There is no maximum and minimum age limit for appearing in the AILET 2025 for any programme.
- Who are the foreign nationals or OCI/PIO for the purpose of admission at NLU Delhi?
Foreign Nationals: The candidates who possess citizenship of a country other than India and hold a valid passport of Foreign Country.
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/Person of Indian Origin (PIO): As notified by the Govt. of India.
- Are foreign nationals or OCI/PIO required to appear in the AILET 2025?
Foreign nationals or OCI/PIO are exempted from appearing in the AILET 2025 subject to the condition that they have applied under such categories.
- Are there NRI seats in the NLU Delhi?
No
- Is there any application fee for AILET 2025?
Yes, the application fee is Rs.3,500/-(Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred Only).
Application fee in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) is Rs.1,500/-(Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only).
Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee.
- How to apply for the AILET 2025?
The candidate will have to apply online through the following link:

- When the application form will be available for the AILET 2025 & what is the last date for the submission of online application form?
The National Law University Delhi has started accepting the online application form w.e.f. August 01, 2024. The last date for submission of online application form is November 18, 2024.
- When the AILET 2025 will be conducted?
The AILET 2025 will be conducted on the Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- What is the duration of AILET examination?
The duration of AILET 2025 will be two hours.
- Whether the AILET 2025 will be conducted online or Offline (Pen and Paper) mode?
The AILET 2025 will be conducted in Offline i.e. Pen & Paper (OMR sheet based) mode.
- Where the AILET 2025 will be conducted?
AILET-2025 will be conducted at the following cities: Bengaluru, Bilaspur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam.
In case the number of the candidates at any test city is less than 100, the test centre will not be created in that city and candidate will be allotted test city as per their 2nd/3rd preference of test city.
- Will I get the test centre in my preferred test city?
The candidates may give up to three preferences with regard to the test centres. As far as possible, the University will try to allocate the 1st / 2nd/ 3rd preferences. However, due to administrative/ technical reasons, the University may allot any other test centre.
- Is there any negative marking in the AILTE 2025?
Yes, there will be negative marking in the AILET 2025 in MCQ Sections only. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer, 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of one (1) Mark
- The candidate applying for the Ph.D. Programme and have qualified the UGC NET/JRF/ M.Phil./SLAT are exempted from the AILET 2025?
No, the candidates who have qualified the UGC NET/JRF/M.Phil. are also required to appear in the AILET-2025 for Ph.D. Programme.
- I have provided incorrect details and uploaded a blurred photograph/scan signature while submitting the online application form for AILET 2025. How should I make corrections to my application form?
The University will allow correction in the application form if any after the last date for submission of online application form i.e. November 21, 2024. The window for the corrections in the online application form will be available for 3 days from the last date of acceptance of application forms.
- What are my user ID & Password for the AILET 2025 account?
Your registered Email ID is your User ID and the same will be sent to your registered Email ID with the password.
- How can I check the status of my AILET 2025 application form?
Please visit the website nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. LOGIN to your AILET Account.
- In case I lost my password for AILET 2025 account, how can I retrieve it?
Please visit the website nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Then click on Forgot Password. Enter your registered Email ID to receive OTP through Email to reset password.
- Can I change the registered Email ID?
No, registered Email ID cannot be changed.
- Do I need to send hard copies of any document or filled AILET 2025 applications to NLU Delhi?
There is no need to send any hard copies of the documents/ filled AILET 2025 application form to NLU Delhi.
- In case I have been charged twice for AILET 2025 application form, what should I do?
In case you have been charged twice, the duplicate transaction will get automatically refunded in 7 to 15 working days.
- I have paid AILET 2025 application fee and acknowledgment slip has been generated. But my login is still showing "Your Application form has submitted Successfully. Your Payment is Pending."?
In such cases, the candidate should wait for at-least 24 hours to recheck the status of his/her application. If it is still showing the same message, then you may write to National Law University Delhi at ailetsupport@nludelhi.ac.in, clearly indicating all your registered particulars for AILET-2025 which includes application number, name , mobile number, email ID and payment transaction details. Further, a proof of transaction may also be provided.
- Whose mobile number/ email address I have to provide during the registration process?
The candidate should provide his/ her primary mobile number and email ID while registering for AILET 2025. In the column meant for providing the details for mother/ father in the application form, please provide the contact details of mother/ father.
- Do I need to upload any category certificate while submitting online application form?
No document/ certificate needs to be uploaded, expect BPL Certificate (in case of SC/ST) while applying online for AILET 2025. It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to prove his/her eligibility for claiming reservation under any of the reserved categories/sub-categories. The candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/EWS/KM/J&K resident categories/ PwD sub-categories will be required to produce original certificate at the time of provisional admission & document verification.
- How can I pay for AILET 2025 application fee?
Candidate can pay requisite application fees through any DEBIT/ CREDIT CARDs, NET Banking, UPI etc. After successful payment of the registration fee and generation of acknowledgement receipt, you will be able to view the same in AILET login
- What documents should I download/ keep after successful submission of online application fees?
The candidate will be able to view the submitted application form and download application fee paid receipt as and when required
- What are the specifications for uploading the photographs & signatures while submitting online application form?
(i.) The candidate should upload his/her recent colour passport size photograph with white background & size as specified (i.e. 1 MB).
(ii.) Passport size photograph should not have cap, goggles etc. (Spectacles are allowed). The face of the candidate should cover about 75% of the photograph. The photograph must clearly show the face of the candidate in the preview box/page.
(iii.) Image and scanned signatures should be in .jpg/.jpeg format only.
(iv.) The candidate should also upload his/ her scanned signature on white paper with maximum size of 1 MB.
(v.) Candidate signature should be clear and without overwriting on a white paper with Black/Blue pen within a box of 6*3cms (width*height) and clearly visible in the preview box/ page.
The candidate should keep two identical photographs with him/ her, in reserve, which may be used for pasting on the Admit Card at the time of Entrance Test/ Counselling/ Admission if required.
- What documents/certificate I need to produce at the time of admission/counselling process?
Candidate will be required to produce the following documents/ certificates in original at the time of admission/ counselling process:
a) In case of B.A.LL.B.(Hons): Marks Statement of Class XII and Class X.
b) In case of LL.M.: Marks Statement of B.A.LL.B./ LL.B. or equivalent; Class XII and Class X.
c) In case of Ph.D. Programme: Marks Statement of LL.M or any other qualifying examination, B.A.LL.B./LL.B. or equivalent; Class XII and Class X.
d) Latest Character Certificate
e) Transfer Certificate
f) Valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ Persons with Disability / Kashmiri Migrant/ Resident of J&K Certificate (wherever applicable)
- From where can I access my admit card?
The admit card will be available online for downloading on the AILET website w.e.f. November 28, 2024 in your login.
- Can I secure admission at NLU Delhi through CLAT or LSAT?
No, any candidate who wishes to secure admission at NLU Delhi will have to appear in AILET.
